Starbucks Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cake Pop

Sbux obviously understood how I felt about this cake pop.

Starbz stopz (as I affectionately call them in my mind) are a mainstay in my morning routine.  SVW's gotta get her roll on out of the South Bay around 6:00 am every day, so without ample Arabica beans, I'm a total monster. Today I stopped to grab my usu. order--Venti Unsweetened Iced Coffee (black and minimalist) and I was welcomed by a glorious sight---a cake pop I have never seen before.  I excitedly accosted the barista, inquiring about the newness of said middle row of cake pops. I sleep-mumbled my question to her, and she assured me the cake pops were "just put out today," to which I realized that my question was wildly misconstrued.  I found out that this sacred middle row was in fact "Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough" cake pop.  WHAT.  I promptly ordered two (because SVW is a share-y, care-y gal), and I was actually able to wait until I arrived at my destination to try it out.  Girl, this was the cake pop-truth. The outside is a milk chocolate-y casing.  The inside is a gritty, doughy, cookie-esque mush ball.  I realize I just made this thing sound like chocolate coated slop on a stick, but I promise that is not the case at all.  If you like Cookie Dough Bites from the movie theater, or if you are into Pinterest recipes for eggless cookie dough dip, I suggest this treat ASAP.  I must let you know, however, that these are incredibly sweet.  Sweeter than the other cake pop offerings, fo' sho.'

Alas--sugar is a food group for moi (along with dinosaur chicken nuggets and wine), so this is no problemo.
